You experience a story that carries those characters through the different stops of the Discovery Tour. This time-in addition to walking from Exhibit A to Exhibit B-you’ll step into the shoes of different characters living in the age. I mean, would my 60 dollars even cover somebody’s coffee in that amount of time?ĭiscovery Tour: Viking Age isn’t just a walk from Exhibit A to Exhibit B as in past Discovery Tours. Quite a deal, considering 15 studios worked on Valhalla for three years. Or, if you purchase Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (for around 60 dollars), then you also get Discovery Tour: Viking Age for free. At the time of this writing, Discovery Tour: Viking Age is 20 dollars. The Discovery Tour can be purchased separately from the Assassin’s Creed campaign. “It’s called Museum Mode,” I correct her, drunk with the power of parental authority.

ASSASSINS CREED ORIGINS WOOD SIMULATOR
For months now, she’s been asking me for the walking simulator version of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Just kidding: One of them is my daughter. You stroll, climb, and leap through these incredible recreations of the ancient world without stabbing a single person in the neck with a wrist blade. This is where Ubisoft introduced Discovery Tour as a teaching tool. Origins takes place in Ancient Egypt, Odyssey in Ancient Greece, and Valhalla in the Viking Age-Norway and England. By the latest trilogy, I’m talking about Assassin’s Creed Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. Developer Ubisoft started doing something interesting with this latest trilogy of Assassin’s Creed games. Okay, maybe Assassin’s Creed doesn’t call it “Museum Mode,” but I’m sticking to it. Discovery Tour is what Assassin’s Creed calls its Museum Mode.
